Seasonal Programs & Events (Columbus location only)

Our annual "Back to School Bash" takes place each August, and is co-hosted by one of our partner organizations, Stitched Together.

The event is open to local foster, adoptive, kinship, reunified and former foster youth families. We provide a joyful afternoon filled with bounce houses, face painting, characters, activities, and more to celebrate the beginning of the school year, and most importantly - to remind the children we serve that they are seen, loved, and valued. Every registered Kindergarten through 12th grade student also receives a gift card to help cover back-to-school expenses.

Each holiday season, we want to ensure that every child has a gift under the tree. Our annual Help for the Holidays program welcomes kinship families/relative caregivers, reunified families and former foster youth to submit a "wishlist" for holiday gifts. These gifts will then be purchased, wrapped and distributed! 

(*Note: Alicia’s Closet loves supporting foster parents, but we know that children’s services and foster care agencies offer gift assistance programs of their own. For that reason, this program is only for biological families who have reunified, former foster youth, and kinship families.)
